Obviously this isn’t an easy question to answer as you have never met me, but I don’t think I can get a non-biased answer from somebody who has. I’m a 16 year old girl, for the record.I am generally speaking quite kind when it comes to day to day things, such as I will always help out a stranger when given the opportunity, always be fair and polite etc etc. But I think my morals might be completly fucked up. I smoke weed everyday and have never felt guilty, I steal all the time (only from big corporations, not corner shops and other small businesses), I never do my school work despite my teachers best efforts to help me. I just don’t really care about all that much in my immediate life. I also think really awful things that I would never say to people. For example, I have absolutely no problem with overweight people, it is there body, and absolutely none of my business, but if I’m walking down the street and see an overweight woman I’ll just think in my head ‘fat bitch’ and I honestly don’t know why. That is only one small, completely random example, but basically I just think horrible things all the time. Do I still count as a bad person if I don’t act out on anything I think? Our apartment has had issues with a leak for something for the past nine months or so. We have had to deal with water being shut off here and there for 2-3 hours once a month at the beginning. Lately it has become more and more frequent at longer periods of time. The past couple months it’s been about once a week for 3 hours. Today it is for 6 hours! We are no longer being told what’s happening its just for “repairs”. We are only told a day in advance by signs in the hallway. Could we be reimbursed a certain amount of rent for this after awhile? I know its during business hours and for short periods of time, but this frequency is ridiculous! We don’t all have 9-5 jobs. I live in California.

At this place of business, this lady Lisa went out of her way to help me, taking extra steps to make sure things worked out for me, while to her side her much, much more attractive co-worker Brittany was not busy and was just smiling and texting a little. However, when it came time to process my credit card, Lisa’s computer froze up and had to finish on Brittany’s.

I wrote an e-mail to the store manager to compliment on the service. However, since Brittany’s name was on my receipt because of what happened, I, being a guy, gave Brittany all the credit. After all, it could have been an honest mistake on my part to have mixed up their names, I thought.

I got a response from the manager today, which made it very clear to me that Brittany took credit for thing that I wrote in my e-mail.

So I guess the answer to whether I was a jerk is obvious…. but was Brittany worse to accept?

(I actually find all this funny…. is that… even worse?)
