[ Other - Careers & Employment ] Open Question : i lost my job at the resort i was at.?

i lost it cause i couldnt do it cause of several surgeries, two hips and a knee one, i applied for disability but its taking forever, i have a hud apartment which helps when im out of work, i get medicaid and adult financial which is kind of like foodstamps only in money, since i cant work cause of my recent knee surgery i thought of taking out my retirement money out early, and i wondered how it affects everything else like will i lose medicaid and adult financial, and im sure my rent will be more because of it,that is if they still let me stay there cause of more income. i know i have to report all this if i get the money out, but i wondered if its considered income if you havent done the paperwork yet to get the money out or is it considered income once you get the big check? like when do i need to tell all these people about it? i could really use a little nest egg right now too, and just wondered when im supposed to report it and when its considered income, i know i might not get disabillity because of it, right now i dont have it so unless i do i probably dont need to say anything, right? i know people say its better to keep it in there till youre 65 but what if you die before then anyways and the money couldve helped you out when you were out of work and couldnt work anyways.

[ Boxing ] Open Question : what will your thoughts be about pacquiaos legacy?

what do you guys think about his fights with marquez?? i know manny is viewed in such a way that you cant criticize him without being mobbed, but what do you think about his fights with juan manuel marquez? he got the best of manny in 2004,2008 and 2011, each times when manny was thought to be indestructable, i know pacquiao is a good exciting fighter but when it came down to the fundamentals of what a boxer really is, he lacked, what are your thoughts as manny seems to be aiming closer to retirement and is devoting himself more to god? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqyBVN3BZRU

[ Higher Education (University +) ] Open Question : HELP: Am I on the right track in getting into a UC (UCI* or UCSF or UCSD)?

I’m a sophmore in high school, so this may be a question that can become clearer in the future. I got serious about this resume process in the middle of my sophmore year, so I feel like I’m a bit late. For now, I’m wondering what kinds of extra curriculars I should add to my agenda. ouo GPA (I believe for last semester?): 4.29 (weighted), 4.11 (unweighted) Next year: I’m planning to take 4 AP’s (us history, language, chemistry, and calculus), I’m also debating to whether or not join Yearbook (I really want to, but there will be plenty of deadlines to meet). I also want to take Spanish for 4 years and apply for the Seal of Biliteracy. ECs (these are in progress): aikido (4 years), piano (8 years), Key Club member (this year), Young Senator’s Program (this year), Mentoring Program (this year) To Do/ Sign Up for: library volunteer, Red Cross volunteer, position in Key Club, retirement home volunteer, future board positions for clubs next year, ASB position (senior year) Community Service: in progress–I’m currently working in the mentoring program and for Key Club Interests/Hobby: art, music, how the human body works, chemistry I feel like I’m lacking something. For my freshman year, I didn’t do much and I feel like that might have impacted in a negative way. I want to do so much more, and I feel like I really can. The last couple of months of looking through yahooanswers/other site responses and questions really opened my eyes. Many of the applicants/seniors/etc have a loaded list of ECs. (I really admire some of them. haha.) *What kind of ECs would you recommend? Do I need more? *What kind of awards would look nice on an application? *Would a school sport look better on an application then Aikido? *If I join a sport the next two years, would it still look good?
