[ Safety ] Open Question : is it possible to drive alone with just a learners permit?

i live in portland Oregon were it rains all the freaking time, and i have a car. i was wondering if there is any way possible that i can drive alone with just a learners permit to school because i hate walking in the rain i still get wet even with an umbrella. i have had my learners permit for 4 months now and have been driving a manual car a lot over the past 4 months and have become a pretty good driver. if i can’t drive to school alone with a learners permit, is there any way i can get my license just a little bit early to get out of this darn rain?

[ Singles & Dating ] Open Question : Girls: Was this a good idea..?

I feel sorta silly, but there was a cute girl who I saw walking and it was raining yesterday. Anyways, she had no umbrella, and though I didn’t wanna get all wet (I was in a tie and dress shirt), I couldn’t afford to pass up the opportunity. She was very cute, let me tell ya – never have seen her, granted my college campus is huge so its hard to meet people. Anyways, I offered her my ubrella, and she just looked at me with this funny smile and I smiled back, introduced myself and then walked her to her room. I ended up soaking wet, but I got her number though. I feel sorta silly doing this. I am usually incredibly shy, but lately I have started to want to meet more and more people. Girls, would you find it wierd if some guy did this?
